Rodd Hotels & Friends vs. UPEI Alumni Face Off for IWK

Charlottetown, PE – Rodd Hotels & Resorts and the UPEI Alumni are teaming up to raise money for the IWK Telethon for Children. UPEI face off.

The charity game will take place at the New MacLaughlan Arena, Sunday, February 29, 2004 at 1:30pm. It will be an hour of family fun with tattoos for the kids and lots of prizes to be won. The IWK Telathon for Children is the employees charity of choice in the Maritimes with a goal of $30,000.00 in 2004.

The IWK Health Centre provides care for children, women and families in the three Maritime provinces and beyond. It is a health centre dedicated to care, teaching and research which offers a broad range of health services to children from birth to 16 years, youth and women. Care is coordinated through three programs: Children's Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Women's and Newborn Health.

Through community support in PEI, the IWK Health Centre Foundation enables the Health Centre to replace dated and obsolete equipment, as well as fund pace-setting research and specialized programs that will ensure Maritime children receive the best possible care. It is Islanders unwavering support and commitment to the IWK and the thousands of sick and injured children and youths is sincerely appreciated.
