Line Cook - Rodd Miramichi River
Rodd Miramichi River is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our dynamic Culinary team. Located along the beautiful Miramichi River, our hotel is known for delivering warm Atlantic Canadian hospitality and exceptional dining experiences to both local guests and visitors.
The property proudly features the popular 1809 Restaurant & Bar, which offers a welcoming atmosphere and a menu highlighting fresh, locally inspired cuisine. In addition to restaurant service, our culinary team supports a busy schedule of meetings, weddings, banquets, and catered events, providing high-quality food and service for gatherings of all sizes.
Pay: CA$16.59 – CA$20.59 per hour
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items for 1809 Restaurant & Bar according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, fryers, and other cooking stations safely and efficiently
- Assist with food preparation for restaurant service, banquets, meetings, and catered events
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation in accordance with food safety standards
- Monitor and record food temperatures for kitchen stations, refrigerators, and freezers as required
- Support kitchen inventory control, proper food storage, and product rotation
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure timely service during busy meal periods
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety standards
- Assist with additional kitchen duties as required to support the culinary operation

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a line cook or in a similar culinary role
- Enrollment in or completion of a Red Seal culinary program considered an asset
- Food Safe Advanced Certification preferred
- WHMIS and First Aid Certification considered an asset
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
